I've submitted a turn for the Adherants. The thinking is that I'm far enough from them to not have a conflicted interest. I had also given suggestions to the previous player regarding his defense so I'm not gaining much additional intelligence as I've already seen the relevant part of the strategic situation (the HW system and adjacent systems). Two far-flung scout ships might be privy to intel on other empires (neither directly relevant to the Solvani), so I could pull those back towards a nearby nebula or other less intelligence-filled system or leave them in situ. Thoughts?
I have sent a screenshot of the Adherants' resource breakdown to Dominion of Zabeara for reference. It's not a great situation because there's not much chance of the Adherants being a proper empire worth playing again. At the same time it's unfair to the D'Kali to deny them the chance to take the homeworld just because the Adherant player couldn't continue. I think the only realistic goal is to hold on to the homeworld for as long as possible so that the D'Kali conquest isn't unrealistically easy.
As stipulated, I won't "scorched earth". I won't make any trades, treaties, gifts, etc.
However, because of the severe resource shortages, the Adherants' survivability would be increased by :
1. Being allowed to make T&R Alliances with the two or three empires they don't have them with already.
2. Being allowed to make resource trades if they're explicitly and publicly posted on the forum with exact numbers.
3. Being allowed to accept resource gifts from other empires. (If anyone even wants to do so. I would not send any as the Solvani).
The Solvani would not be involved in any of the above and it's up to everyone if any of them should be allowed at all. I'll abide either way.
