The clouds of conflict have long been gathering over Aquarii system and the Consensus has observed these growing tensions with worry. Over the course of long studies, enhanced by data forwarded by the observation vessel Dulmanasva, the Consensus has come to believe that the Interstellar Trading Company has a clear right to this system. An ITCo established colony and a sizable accompanying perimeter provide indisputable evidence for their claim while the Amarr Empire has not established even rudimentary mining operations within the system.
Obviously, the only Amarr claim to be laid upon the Aquarii system would be by the force of arms and Xirtalahan Consensus can not abide by this. Therefore, should the Amarr Empire attempt to cease control of the Aquarii system from the Interstellar Trading Company, Xirtalahan Consensus will, as per Our Policy of Non-Aggression, cease all trade and research co-operation with the Amarr Empire.
Consensus' hope is that this will provide additional incentive for finding a peaceful solution to this crisis and that We never have to initiate the embargo. While the way of peace can be difficult, and particulars of any agreement or treaty between the Amarr and the ITCo are not Our's to make, We recommend demilitarization of border systems in order to de-escalate the situation. Further progress can then be made upon this first step.
