Was fiddling around trying to puzzle out engine requirements and thought to throw up some infographics in case any one else was wondering what path leads to better engines (since propulsion alone does not).   |

I was going to make some more, but there would be thousands of these. There really is no sensible way to make it into a tech tree that doesn't look like this:  I don't know, maybe that's useful.... |

You guys are spoiled, back in the day nobody told me what to research or how to get to certain techs...just nasty surprises to indicate your screwed up big time...

Yeah, that is pretty much how I'm going about it... Hmm... Propulsion 13 and still no new engines... something must be wrong... but... maybe it'll be Propulsion 14 that gives me those shiny new engines!  |

Huh. I'm glad I haven't been powering down one tech tree /too/ hard(at least one that doesn't give immediate results/I know I'll need for some good stuff).

I personally use the components .txt file and drill down backwards to requisite techs. Proportions does up the tech tree complexity and there are differences in this tech tree from the last version I played.

Yeah, I've poked around in the tech files to see wtf is up. It's a confusing mess. Maybe I'll work on making a flowchart or somesuch this weekend(after more RP!)
