What a glorious title you now possess, my friend! If only your clan understood the importance of your position, how shamed they would be. But on to more pleasant thoughts.

I have not yet been planetside, but Ro'Vala tells me The Blooming is Barul, as predicted. It bodes well for my mate-seeking! I used to not believe in such nonsense as Barul, but I need to think of the clan. With two Pair-Bondings and no offspring, my parents might soon be sending me to the gestation vats with a nomad!

The Intendant. He is a sight to behold. Not that I see him often, but he does occasionally request high-level personal reports from the I.S.B., which I have been honored to deliver on several occasions. Among the younger children many of the clans in the Stellar Branches, it has become fashionable to leave tails uncut. I have told no one of this, but I am considering not cutting my own tail. Just for the scandal it would cause, of course!

You must take confidence from The Intendant's confidence in you, my friend. Would we have made contact with all the known xenos so early if not for his diplomacy? Secured trade agreements with them? Or developed the systems around us? We both know the First Families are far more interested in domestic affairs, mine perhaps the most. Even during the war they seemed without care. And do not even let me get started on the Presumptive! Don't worry, I won't, even with the encrypted channel. I'm not that foolish, though I suspect you think it of me, my friend!

The Intendant walks across so many branches, sometimes I fear the branches he walks may break beneath him. There are many who would preserve their positions, now that the value of Stellar affairs is becoming understood.

You must also be cautious. The wiser (I would say the more clever) families who realize the importance of your position find it a great affront that a ... former member of their kind would receive such an honor. Your reception at home may be less welcoming than it should be, regardless of the outcome of the talks.
