(Various Xirtalahan happenings in no particular order or system... since I'm a lazy bugger usually quite late as far as ingame events go)

To an untrained mind the constant hum and mix of flowing thoughts within the Consensus could border on deafening. Since exploration of the vast emptiness had begun in earnest, it had become almost unintelligible as seemingly everyone on Xirta wished to partake in the upcoming decisions that would define the future of Xirtalahan as a species. Even some of those who had chosen exile so long ago could be felt lingering on the edges of the 'meetings'. A rare occasion indeed.
"...Almost a full cycle has passed since the first vessel left the familiar surroundings of our home system and many more have since followed in it's wake.", Supreme Valgus Zireshkavala's thoughts could be followed system wide. "While much space has been covered and cataloqued it has not been without danger. As we know, the Valantashalan never managed to leave the system before being destroyed by the violent nature of the crossing point. While this was a tragedy that will not be easily forgotten even more distressing news have been received by the Council. The very first ship to depart, the Rakatasvala, has suffered significant damage several systems away from Xirta. Most significant fact is that it was not a natural event, but another ship that was responsible..." The complete lack of the usual backround chatter that followed was quite unprecedented. Then again, so were the news. "As this incident demanded an immediate response the Council was forced to take action before full consultation was possible and the Council has decided to embard on a course of understanding with these Solvani..." the sudden rise of intense murmur could be easily deciphered as unilateral decisions were rarely taken well, even when done at the highest level. Last time such had happened must have been centuries ago. "Please, hear my thoughts on this... The inability of those of us beyond our solar system to transmit their thoughts directly for the entire Consensus is well known and decisions had to be made without a delay. As our position entrusts us, we have done so. The Rakatasvala had entered another species' homesystem unannounced and their ship fired before contact could be established. While we Xirtalahari find this kind of crude behaviour unbecoming, to say the least, we must also understand their primal reaction toward the unknown. After all, were we not once like them?"
