When I go out of town I like to use remote desktop programs to play my SE turns. I've even done turns using my smartphone. The one I use isn't completely free but is still really cheap (splashtop), but pretty much has zero lag on a half decent network (4g LTE etc) and is crossplatform (android, iOS, windows, osx and I think linux). There are plenty of free options as well.

That's a good idea Amarr...I usually carry a flash drive with me that has se4 on it...but if you have a decent smartphone that's a great option as well. No more excuses for not getting the turn in

Another option is to buy it on Steam. That way you can get SE4 up and running again in a matter of minutes on any computer that will let you install stuff, mods and all.

I've used "Logmein" to play remotely when travelling. Since SE4 is a turn based game, lag isn't usually a problem.
