I have been doing some thinking and want to gauge interest in having a "rapid turn night". For this to work, we would need all 15 people online and ready to do turns. We would be able to knock out turns quickly, especially in these early game turn period. A vent/TS/Mumble server could be set up and used to negotiate or talk about anything while we wait for others to complete their turn. I would foresee about 5-6 turns being completed in a 3 hr window.
What is the interest level and when would people be available. We would only proceed with this idea if we can get all 15 people on board as we would not want anyone missing turns for this type of event.

While I appreciate the desire for wanting to get a few more turns of the game out, I feel like this would run counter to the spirit of an RP game.
I don't know about everyone else, but my writing on here has already been lacking because of the current pace of the game. By the time I've thought of a good story for the last turn, the next one is already out, making my idea irrelevant or outdated.

Having said that, there is nothing wrong with posting a story a few turns ''late'' If you can actually get 14 people (I don't really count Darkstar, since he only gets 20% of the turns in anyway) to sit down on a day and just do turns, I'm all in favour of it.

I like the idea, but I'd say maybe, just agree to do an extra turn or two in a day, rather than a specific blitz of turns. For example, this saturday if we all agreed to do a turn before 2 PM, and another before 6 PM, along with the regular 10 PM turn, that'd give everyone some freedom for the day, while really accelerating through this initial exploration phase. =)

The problem being self-selection: all the people discussing this on the forums favourably are the ones who tend to get their turns in early...

There is nothing wrong with posting an RP segment "Late" in my opinion. "Internal" RP posts I often post late or after the fact in order to reduce the amount I tip off others on my strategy.
Much of this early RP has been taken to messages at this point in time. I don't think we would be against the spirit of the game as communication would still be possible in RP form for official communication during this time period. With increased focus on the game for that time period, downtime could be dedicated to RP posts as well for the "faster" players.
It is just an idea that I am testing interest on.

I'm at gmt+2 that's 7? hours even to the US East Coast... I could probably make it but seems fairly unlikely that everyone's on at same time.

I love the idea, but the chances of everyone having an open day at the same time is close to nil. That isn't even accounting for the likely pretty huge time zone issues.

Given that we are an international crowd in at least 4 different countries (thus making national holidays unusable), our only realistic hope of pulling this off is collectively booking off a weekend day far in advance.
