As per the current poll status, we will be transitioning back to a 24 hour turn rate. But first, we have a player who will likely drop soon, and we need to find a replacement. I would rather delay the move to 24 hours until we've tried finding one, since the 48 hour cycle buys us some time.

I agree, if we're going to have a player drop, we should hold off 24 hour turns. Even a few missed turns of idle production or research can be really unhealthy for an empire.

I still find 48 hour turns better for role play. I know I've been quiet but I was using the turns to catch up. With 24 hour turns I'm going to have problems keeping up the turns not to mention getting ahead of them and getting to in on the forums.

Although we are officially on a 24 hour cycle, solvani is currently travelling on business and had his laptop die. As such, I'm keeping it at 48 for the moment.

Solvani solved his problem, so we are now on 24 hours. I'll be a bit flexible with the next turn though, due to the sudden switch.

Now that we have moved to 48 hours again, I'm moving the turn forward an hour (to 2100 mountain time). With the hours I'm currently working, I need to go to bed earlier to function properly, and that means not doing the turn at 10:30 when someone needs "just 15 more mins" to get it in. If we ever switch back to 24 hours, we may move it back to 2200 mountain time, but to be honest I've been struggling to balance my roles as host and player with my current work schedule, and moving forward an hour will make it easier.
