Solvani Xenoarchaeologists Discover Remains of Ancient "Space Monster"

The scientific team behind the expedition to the harsh environment of Tartarus VI today announced the discovery of an ancient alien presence on the planet.
"We have a large piece of the creature, which resembles a massive tentacle." said expeditionary co-leader and xenobiology expert Masalu Masi. "It is fantastic. As scientists, we try to uncover Truth, and rarely do we reveal so much at once. The expedition has only been in progress for three cycles and already we have struck glittersap!"
The corpse of the creature is approximately the size of an Imperium frigate and was recovered floating in the high atmosphere of the gas giant. It was filled with a gas heated by a radioactive decay which appears to have kept the remains afloat for a very long time. The unique environment of Tartarus VI may have helped preserve the creature, which scientists have dubbed Auqlauq after the mythological Solvani space-beast.
Several traces of what appear to be humanoid remains were also found inside the Auqlauq, attached by a variety of organic tubes to sustain and interface with them.
"We believe the creature may have somehow used these absorbed individuals of other species to assist in communications or some other bodily function. Many primitive species are not able to communicate using neural waves, which might necessitate such measures." explained Masalu.
Signs of violent high-energy discharges were also found on parts of the tentacle, prompting suggestions of a violent end.
Due to the peculiar anatomy and neural layout of the remains, some expeditionary scientists are privately speculating that the tentacle is only a small part of a creature of much larger size and may even have been able to travel through space.
