Breaking News - Riots engulf Zabéara

A major memorial procession in the Zabearan capital for the over one million civilians killed in a series of unprovoked Kortl Society attacks on civilian craft, the vast majority of which were killed within uncontested Dominion space. The memorial procession started peacefully proceeding from Saint Zittite Grand Temple down Saint Hurzizta’s road until reaching the Great Central Mausoleum. Once there, a series of incendiary speeches were made to the assembled crowd, most notably a funeral oration by Irkhz* Karzzadoka that was highly critical of the Dominion’s silence and perceived lack of action in response to Kortl atrocities. After the eulugies, the enraged and hostile crowd, which by then numbered well over 1 million, marched to the Patriarchial Palace to demand action. Once there, the initial ringleaders of the impromptu march lost control, and the crowd began widespread destruction across the city. The capital burned for four days and spread to several other cities and regions before the disturbance was finally put down forcefully by the Holy Army of the Dominion, with the rioting especially being focused on businesses and shops associated with previous Kortl trade. Enterprises associated with subjects of the Diamond Empire were also frequently targeted due to that Empire’s role in resupplying the Kortl warships that murdered the Dominion civilians.

Word has been just released from the Patriarchial Palace that the Commander of the 4th Fleet Division, Mizral Pizuzti, will be tried by a panel of law-priests for the huge loss of civilian life and material to Kortl raiders.
