Oceanus VI - Earlier today, Chairman Kevin addressed all employees of the Interstellar Trading Company in response to troubling intelligence reports regarding the departure of an Amarr invasion fleet.
"An invasion fleet of over 70 warships has left the Amarr homeworld and is heading towards Interstellar Trading Company space. According to intelligence reports from the Company Constabulary their target is the Aquarii system. This Trading Company star system has been long coveted by the Amarr Empire - several years ago they threatened to throw the "full weight of their industry" into seizing it. Now it appears they are following through on their threats.
Fortunately, Trading Company strategic planners have been expecting this ploy and the Constabulary has been assembling in the Aquarii system over the past months. They are prepared to take all necessary measures to protect the employees and property of the Interstellar Trading Company.
Company executives have contacted the Amarr Empire and warned them that any incursion by their fleet into the systems bordering Company space will be considered an act of war.
To be clear: the Interstellar Trading Company will not tolerate the movement of any additional Amarr warships into the Wenzhou, Chi, Ulaanbaatar, and Antares systems. This will be the case until a formal peace agreement has been reached and the Amarr Empire publicly renounces their intention to seize the Aquarii system.
Towards this end, Company executives have offered a formal truce to the Amarr and their allies the Kortl Society on the condition that both organizations abandon their plans of conquest on Trading Company territory.
The Interstellar Trading Company is hopeful that the Amarr and Kortl will make responsible choices in the upcoming months, save our organizations from becoming embroiled in unnecessary conflict, and honour their duty to maintain the galactic peace."
