Metar’k stood nervously in front of several years work. The hovering model of his station spun slowly on a tilted axis to show off the fine architecture that he had poured his most creative ideas into. Now that it was done he was not only to display it for public opinion but the Triarchs themselves were coming for a private viewing. Never more had the gryphon felt that his choice of clothing and dyes used on his feathers could be more noticeable. He only managed to pace the room a dozen times before a knock came at the door to summon him. Walking over he gripped the handles, took a deep calming breath, and then pushed it open.
Four of the Vox entered first, guarding the Triarchs, and took up discrete positions at the corners of the rooms. Their positions had always been more for show than necessity however it was a position that any gryphon would be honored to receive. With their guard in place the Triarchs made their way into the room, two more of the Vox following them and stopping to close the doors behind the group.
Rakkus leading looked surprised at the model that was hoving for display and lead his two brethren over to examine it closely. “Quite a fine piece of art you have managed here Metar’k”. Rakkus leaned in closely while Sonus and Verra stood slightly back watching it spin slowly. Rakkus hrrrmed softly then said “These open spaces on it, these are for the delegation of each group to customize and such?” Metar’k nodded “Exactly Triarch. We also have them prepared to sit in a ring that will keep a slow orbit around the planet. So everyone will share views of the surface.” Sonus frowned a bit and then turned “How about the security on them?” Metar’k nodded “After consulting with various guilds we have determined that the flight and power systems will be setup to only work via a few discrete control centers. The stations will not be able to move and attempts to tap into power or the like will cause the whole thing to lock down. Same will occur if weapon fire is detected or the like. These were designed to be defensive and used for political communications not for waging war after all.” Sonus nodded “Good, The last thing we need is someone trying to hijack a station or something.” he chuckles. Verra gave Sonus a scathing look “It is not funny! Even in planning so much of this could go wrong. We need to make sure every contingency has been considered.”
Rakkus turned away from the station and smiled “This endeavour has been one of long planning. Regardless of how long it has kept our people busy either considering or planning we are now ready to see just how many we can entice to proper discussions. We have been working on a place for anyone who wishes to bring any dispute for peaceful arbitration. We can do our best to get a council of impartial representatives built, and this is the first step to that.” Turning back to the architect guild leader Rakkus gave the slightest of bows “Please, begin pushing this into production for a framework. We will let your guild know when we want them to start actually manufacturing them.” Metar’k responded by bowing as low as he could manage and speaking “Thank you Triarch. I will let them know. I’m glad you are appreciative of my work!” Rakkus rested a hand on the architechs shoulder. “We will be proud to display something that has had so much of our efforts put into it.” The three turned to leave and their guards quickly followed. With a deep sigh of relief Metar’k tapped the communicator on the wall. “Sutak. We are good to go. Begin the framework pre-production right away!”
Verra turned to Rakkus and Sonus once they were down the hall. “Well then, I suppose we had better see who still has our Comm channel hmm? We’ve been so busy getting this project as well as the economic stabilization of our people going that I bet there are stories floating around that we are gone.” Sonus chuckled and nodded “I’ll get those messages out as soon as i can. I don’t expect many to come at first but….well I like to think that even if the ability to defend oneself is necessary that peaceful talk is the best way to reach true coexistence.” Rakkus nodded to this “I agree, and while some will simply ignore this attempt a unified front needs to be established in this sector. Too many aggressive and needless fights have begun that a little extra talk likely could have compromised well. We can hope at least that we can bring together at least some few to join us in bonding together.” Sonus left the other two to head to the communication guild.
He had a lot of messages to send out.
