Verra looked over the reports that his guild-mates had taken so much care to bring before him. The ideas were preposterous. There was no way they would ever be able to truly harness the power required to actually start one of these colonization engines. Still the idea had some merit. Giving a sigh the gryphon got to his feet and made his way through the tall decorated halls of Trinity's Rest, the quarters that he and his two fellow leaders shared. Pushing through the golden door the sealed his quarters off from the common areas he was glad to see Sonus and Rakkus both already here. "Triachs" he spoke in a voice the other two would recognize as the opening to one of his pushes for something new "I believe we need to talk about our current forays into the stars. I know that it has seemed that it would be impractical, expensive and unnecessary for us to consider....however I've been thinking." Before he could get out his next words Sonus turned to Rakkus with a knowing grin. "Oh dear, i hope you are comfortable my friend, we are going to be here for hours now!" Rakkus feigned a look of horror "I certainly hope not! I have so much to get done today." Turning his eyes on Verra he spoke with a forcibly stern voice "I will listen so long as you keep it short and concise." Verra visibly puffed up with irritation. "If you two won't take me seriously then i will keep my ideas to myself!" The other two quickly capitulated "When have we every truely felt you a burden Verra. Sit! Tell us what you have to offer us. I think we already have an idea" Rakkus chuckles out lowly.
As Verra spoke the other two stopped joking around and leaned in to listen to the ideas. What the meeting was not was short or concise. It wasn't till Vera put the numbers that the Knowers had put together down that the three realized that the morning was gone and the mid day meal was upon them.
"So..you are saying that in just three short moons we can have more than just the orbiting vessels? We can...can actualy go to the stars?" Sonus couldn't keep the sound of wonder from his voice. Verra nodded "Yes. And if the bright minds that keep me forever running around are right, we may even be able to create new homes. The first know that we are running out of proper space here. Why work to make the cold lands of the north more intriguing when we could offer a whole new world!" Rakkus hrrms softly and then says. "We should get things in order then. I know your workshops are running perfectly Verra but i'm sure Sonus and I can spare some extra bodies to make sure that we can get the prototypes working right away!" Verra chuckles softly and then says "Well....We should have a proper workshop in orbit before the next moon passes. I've been giving my guild masters some extra leeway." Sonus and Rakkus pause looking stunned, then all three laugh for a good long time.
Some hours later, after the rest of the day flew by with plans and orders and new opportunities and stories to be written and shared, Sonus stood on his balcony in the dim light of the first moon. The other two wouldn't rise for some time but this one was always the one he looked to. "If you can hear me Vox, first of my own name, then i hope you will guide us well. It is rare that my own curiosity is piqued like this, but to see the stars and all that lies between....." The gryphon never finished the sentence, instead, he turned and slipped back into his quarters to rest. The next moons worth of work was going to be busy busy busy.
