I'm all about starting topics today!
So random question, is anyone else into fitness? What's your routine?

I started a new routine two months ago. I go to the gym 4 times a week:
Day 1: Upper body + 1.5 hours cardio Day 2: Core + 1.5 hours cardio Day 3: Rest Day 4: Upper body + 1.5 hours cardio Day 5: Core + 1.5 hours cardio Day 6: Rest Day 7: Rest
I rest two days in a row more because of my work schedule than any physical necessity.
I have costochondritis, so i'm very limited in what I can do. No swimming, no free weights, no focused chest exercises. Kind of work around the chest and minimize its usage.

Much props. I had to look it up, but that would be unpleasant and limiting in training! Most individuals (speaking of the military) will easily use any medical reason as an excuse NOT to work out, as opposed to just modify it.
I've just recently started lifting consistently again. I pinched the sciatic nerve going down my left leg on 13 Dec 13. I couldn't even walk. But, I kept heating and stretching and then when work starting up again in Jan I hit up the physio. Pretty stoked that I'd gone from not being able to walk, to having paralyzing pain on standing up, to now I'm training hard again. My schedule currently looks like this:
Mon: Chest and Back Tue: Legs and Abs Wed: Arms Thu: Rest Fri: Shoulders and Back Sat: Chest and Legs Sun: Rest
Each of these days sees cardio at lunch time too, but I'm trying to find the balance for cardio that will give the best returns. So, I get in a wide ranging amount with skipping being my primary cardio at the moment. And I change up from say, a long slow distance run (currently on the treadmill, since it's a sheet of ice outside) to 1 minute long sprints and 30 second long jogs.
So far, this has been a pretty positive, if not tiring, routine. Another 3 weeks and I'll be changing it up a bit.

Sciatic pinch? Ouch! At least your recovery was fairly quick. I've had costo for 14 months now...
After two months, I really feel the need to switch things up as well, but I don't know how given that i'm limited to using machines only, and even then machines that don't involve the chest...

Hmm... What does your gym have? How long have you been training for (in general), as in how much background do you have in this?
I've been training for a fairly long time, with the military and before it. We have a big gym, and there is a gym off base I go to as well. I don't mind helping you brain storm up a new program if you want to switch it up. Agreed, it'll be difficult with costo, but I'm sure we can figure something out.
