Hi Everybody,
My Name is Kyle and together with Nick we are putting together this game.
Welcome to the Space Empires Game. We are glad to have our returning members and our new members. We still have some things to get ready before we start the official version of the game. To help us get everything started on time, we would like to request that each of you to do the following things to be ready for when it starts.
1. Download Space Empires 4 and install the proportions mod 3.1.3. There is more info to help you do this in other threads
2. Fill out the excel information survey sheet.
3. Sign up on PBW2 website. The game will be run through this website once it is created.
4. Choose a ship set and create your empire. Create your empire with 5000 racial points for abilities. This will be a role playing game so we are looking forward to some detailed race backgrounds.
For those new to the game, a ship set is the set of pictures you use for your race. They can be found by doing a google search for space empires 4 ship sets. Be warned, make sure your ship set works with the proportions mod before saying that you will use it. The proportions mod requires more ship sizes than the standard game and so not every ship set will work.
We will be asking for your empire files at a later date.
5. Practice using the proportions mod, especially those new to the game. You have a couple weeks before we get started, so create a solo game, learn the mechanics and the tech tree. If you have any questions, please ask me, nick or any of the other experienced players on this board.
