Hi Everyone,

To make sure the first turn goes smoothly we need to make sure that everyone follows the following steps:

1. Install SE4

Pretty Self Explanitory

2. Install the Proportions Mod 3.1.3

Proportions Mod

Let us know if you are still having difficulty

3. Install the Map Pack

We have decided to use the "Balanced Map" for this game. To use this, everyone will have to install the map pack. Download it at this link:

Map Pack

Just extract these pictures into your SE4>Pictures>Planets Folder. They will not effect your other games.

4. Install the Secttype.txt file

This is also required for the "Balanced Map". Download this File and overwrite the file of the same name in the SE4>Proportions3.1.3>Data folder. This file will make sure the proper planets are called in the map for you.

5. Sign up for the Game on PBW

Make sure you are signed up for the game on PBW.

Main Game on PBW

6. Create your empire

Create your empire in game. Use 5000 racial points and be sure to fill out a decent background for your race. Save the empire file to the file name that PBW tells you when you click the upload empire button

7. Upload your Empire

Upload your empire on PBW

You are now ready for the first turn!!!

We have 4 more people who have confirmed that they will join the game. We are waiting for them to sign up on the forums and PBW and get their empires uploaded. In the meantime, make sure that you have completed the checklist in the original post. Once everyone is ready, we the game will start and turns will come fairly quickly at the start.

I highly recommend that everyone download all the shipsets that will be used in this game and load them into their proper folders. Doing this will allow you to see the ships that the races are designed around and prevent the game from randomly choosing a shipset to use every time you open the game for the ones you are missing. Ask if you have any questions on how to properly install them.
